Welcome our newest addition to Handley Ranch:
Henry the Miniature Donkey!
Henry came to us from a family in the Pleasant Hill community of Hemingway. After the initial farrier visit, and observing a couple baby teeth yet he is estimated to be close to three years old (mini-donks usually lose the last of their baby teeth by 4 years old at the latest). He also sports the cross on his back (most minis have it). Until we get him his own digs,he's bunking with our Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goat Does and seems to enjoy herding them! The Doe pen is adjacent to the Buck pen, and Henry has also made friendswith Domino, our Nigerian Dwarf-Alpine mix wither. As the previous family promised, Henry is now our 6:30 alarm clock and has also started calling out to us when we're working in the yard and he feels he needs a head scratch. He is ADORABLE!! With an average life span of 25-35 years, we are really looking forward to earning Henry's trust and growing a loving relationship to last for years to come!
